Picnik... does magic

Just Bored

The open road. The path of greatness. It's at your fingers. Go be the on that keeps on fighting. Go be the stranger. Just put your foot in front of the other. Crow like the rooster. Be all and all.

babyyyy babyy

I would just like to say that I hate being my own model. It STINKS! I give every photographer who does a ton of credit! My lighting is inside as you can tell and I think the shadow on my face is to harsh for my liking. My face looks awkward and in color it was horrible. The one thing I do like is the composition at the top of my blog. My hair spikes out to help play off the ribbons.

DIPTYCHS!

This diptych is to tell a story of this man. I wanted it to represent summer coming to an end... even though it has not started yet. The sunset and the roughness of the water helps in portraying this.

TEXTURE!!

I bumped up the contrast and then brightened it up. I like the flakes from the paint.

NiiGHT!

For this picture I left my shutter open for 30 seconds. I ran around him with a light and tried to get it to shine on the ground. In photoshop I also brought up the blue. I wanted it to look like something is "coming" for him.

I just wanted to put up the black and white pictures up :)
This is my night picture. We bought LED lights and used them to trace his body. I had the fstop as low as it could go and shutter was set to stay open for 40 seconds. I really like the composition of this picture I just wish that I had the shutter open for less time because the camera ended up catching a lot of light.

Greek Goddesses

Athena: The greek goddess of wisdom and war. The sword and her stance is to represent the warrior in her. Yet her gentle face shows the wisdom and to not fear her. I like how the red is the main color popping out of the brown.

Amphitrite: The greek goddess queen of the sea. The wife to poseidon. Amphitrite was depicted as a young women, often raising her hand in pinching gesture. This shows her pinching her dress up and delicately brushing the water. Her dress also helps to represent the plants of the sea.

In Studio Fun

LEAH: I really like how her "shy" personality shows in this picture but yet she has a bit of her fun side through her smile. I also like how the light is peaking through by the top of her head.
KIM: I was not too happy with how these pictures turned out. I wish that we had worked with something else instead of the swim cap.

Nature Portrait

This Rachel's nature with her kitty. In her backyard she has the lake and a deck to enjoy. It turned out pretty grainy but overall I really like the scenery.

IB portraits ;)

SYDNEY: I really like how the shadow showed in this picture. I also like the fact that she is leaning forward so she looks very down to earth with her smile.
MEREDITH: I really like how she has movement in this picture so it is not just a basic portrait picture. I just wished I showed more of her personality.
CHELSEA: I am really happy on how this picture turned out. I like the lighting and the hair light behind her. I also like the angle that I took it at.
ELISE: I think that the lighting could have been better in this picture. She didn't get as much hair light as I would have liked. You can kind of see it peeking through by her arm.

portraits FINAL!!!!! mhm

For this portrait I liked how natural it looked. I played around with the color balances to help bring out some colors. I also like all of the textures around her. I think it helps to bring out the photo.
This portrait is one of my favorites because not only did it turn out good but the model is very cooperative. I brought the contrast up and made her eyes pop. I also used a light blur so the background was not as distracting.
